Cost Accountant/Plant Manager

KeyStaff Professionals is partnering with a dynamic company in the Southwest Suburbs seeking a Plant Controller.  This role is responsible for overseeing cost accounting and financial reporting for the company. This position involves ensuring strong internal controls, managing financial forecasts, and providing accurate reporting across multiple locations.

Job Summary

  • Safeguard company assets by monitoring and reviewing inventory transactions and procedures
  • Oversee cost accounting, inventory management, and internal control policies
  • Support production, supply chain, and product line management by ensuring accurate material pricing, meeting margin targets, analyzing variances, and implementing corrective actions
  • Develop and review financial forecasts by setting schedules, gathering data, and conducting financial analysis
  • Contribute to corporate strategic planning by helping define company goals, objectives, and strategies

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Strong background in manufacturing finance
  • Must have strong Cost Accounting Experience
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and ERP systems
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills
  • Ability to manage priorities and work effectively across multiple locations
  • Strong project management skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines while maintaining confidentiality
