KeyStaff Professionals is seeking a Staff Accountant to support general ledger and cost accounting functions in a manufacturing environment. This role plays an important part in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting operations, and contributing to financial reporting and analysis. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, adaptable, and collaborative, with an interest in long-term growth.

Job Summary

  • Analyze and report manufacturing costs, including materials, labor, and overhead
  • Partner with production teams to ensure accurate cost allocation
  • Perform month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries and reconciliations
  • Prepare financial statements and reports using ERP systems
  • Maintain and reconcile inventory accounts; assist with physical inventory counts
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and weekly performance metrics
  • Prepare audit documentation and ensure GAAP compliance
  • Identify process improvement and automation opportunities
  • Provide backup support for AP, AR, and journal entries

Job Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in Accounting or Finance required; Bachelor’s preferred
  • 2–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing
  • Experience with ERP systems and strong Excel skills
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and communication skills
